Lucis Choir performs Fauré Requiem

Fauré Requiem and Cantique de Jean Racine

Our friends at Lucis Choir (who supported our recent Mexican Fiesta and Barn Dance) have an upcoming concert that we are happy to promote for them. The concert will be taking place on Saturday 23rd March at St Mary’s Redcliffe, Bristol.

In this centenary year of the death of Gabriel Fauré, Lucis mark their 10th anniversary with a programme spearheaded by two of the composer’s most beloved choral works, the Requiem and Cantique de Jean Racine, as well as an organ arrangement of his Pavane.

The programme starts with Lili Boulanger’s Pour les funérailles d’un soldat followed by Faure’s Pavane, arranged for organ. The first half also includes de Severac’s Tantum ergo, Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine and In my Father’s house by Stopford.

The concert concludes with Faure’s Requiem in the arrangement for violin, cello, harp and organ.
