Why the Life Project Exists

Many families of people with learning disabilities describe the move into adulthood as a “cliff edge”. When education and structured support come to an end, opportunities for friendship, routine, and meaningful participation can reduce significantly.

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to remain connected, contribute, and be part of community life.

“The Life Project has provided a supportive and nurturing community, founded on Christian values, in which D has been able to learn useful life skills and gain confidence. When asked about his time after a Life Project activity he frequently says ‘I love it’. He enjoys being involved in some of the musical activities in particular having a go on the keyboard. Helping on the allotment and with activities such as preparing food has helped him to feel a valued member of the Life Project community.”
